Christianity Honours Women: More
Than Words, It’s a Way of Life
In a world still wrestling with
gender equality, it might come as a surprise to some that Christianity has
always honoured women—not for the sake of being progressive, but because it’s
rooted in GOD’s truth. From the pages of Scripture to the everyday lives of
believers, the Gospel consistently uplifts, values, and celebrates women—not as
an agenda, but as a reflection of GOD’s heart.
This honour isn’t seasonal. It’s not
a Mother’s Day tribute or a sermon point. It’s woven into the very fabric of
Christian living.
1. The First Witnesses of the
Resurrection Were Women
At the very centre of our faith is
the Resurrection of JESUS. And who were the first people chosen to witness this
history-shifting moment? Women.
In a culture where women’s testimony
held little legal weight, GOD entrusted the greatest news in history to them.
That’s not exclusion—that’s divine honour.
2. Women Were Leaders, Teachers, and
Prophets in the Early Church
The early Church wasn’t a boys’
club. Women played powerful roles—teaching, leading, and prophesying under the
anointing of the Holy Spirit.
- Phoebe was a deacon and a trusted leader, carrying Paul’s letter to the Roman church.(Romans 16:1–2)
- Priscilla, along with her husband Aquila, taught Apollos—the learned scholar—about JESUS.(Acts 18:26)
- Philip’s daughters were prophets, boldly speaking the word of GOD.(Acts 21:9)
- Anna, a prophetess, recognized JESUS at the temple and told everyone waiting for redemption.(Luke 2:36–38)
These weren’t background roles.
These were Spirit-led callings.
3. In Christian Homes, Women Are
Honoured Daily
The Bible doesn’t just speak about
honouring women in the Church. It brings it home—literally.
This isn’t about control or
dominance. It’s about sacrificial, Christlike love. A husband is called to lay
down his ego, pride, and position—not to be weak, but to reflect the strength
of JESUS’ love.
4. Proverbs 31: A Song of Strength
and Dignity
The Proverbs 31 woman isn’t some
quiet, timid figure. She’s a powerhouse.
She runs businesses, raises
children, manages her home, and lives in reverent fear of the LORD. She’s not
unreachable—she’s honoured because of how she walks with GOD.
5. Equality in Christ: Co-Heirs of
the Kingdom
The Gospel doesn’t divide us—it
unites us. In CHRIST, there is no second-class citizen.
The world might label and divide,
but the cross levels the ground. In CHRIST, women aren’t just included—they’re
empowered.
So, What Does This Look Like Today?
Honouring women in Christianity
isn’t about hashtags or social media posts. It’s real. It’s relational. It’s
reflective of JESUS Himself.
It looks like:
- Speaking with dignity, like JESUS did to the Samaritan
woman.
- Standing beside those hurting, like He did with the
woman caught in adultery.
- Celebrating faith and courage, like He did with the
woman who touched His garment.
- Giving voice and purpose, like He did with Mary
Magdalene.
Christianity Doesn’t Tolerate Women.
It Treasures Them.
Real Christianity doesn’t hush women
or push them aside. It sees them. Values them. Empowers them. And calls
everyone else to do the same.

जीत की घोषणा
के लिए उन्हें
चुना। यह अपमान
नहीं—यह परम
सम्मान है।
2. प्रारंभिक
कलीसिया में महिलाएँ अगुवा, शिक्षक और भविष्यवक्ता थीं
मसीही
विश्वास की शुरुआत से
ही महिलाएँ सिर्फ़
पीछे नहीं रहीं,
बल्कि उन्होंने आगे
बढ़कर सेवा की,
शिक्षा दी, और
भविष्यवाणी की।

का गीत
नीति
वचन 31 में जिस
स्त्री का वर्णन

कमज़ोर या असहाय
नहीं है।
वह
व्यवसाय चलाती है, बच्चों
की परवरिश करती
है, घर को
संभालती है और परमेश्वर का
भय मानती है।
यह कोई असंभव
आदर्श नहीं है—यह उस स्त्री
की तस्वीर है
जो परमेश्वर के
साथ चलती है।
5. मसीह में समानता:
राज्य की सह-वारिस
सुसमाचार किसी
को कमतर नहीं
समझता। मसीह में
