Holi, the Hindu festival of colors, is widely celebrated with joy and enthusiasm. However, as believers in CHRIST, we must be discerning about the activities we engage in and ensure that our lives reflect the holiness of GOD. We are called to be set apart, not conforming to the ways of the world but standing firm in GOD’s truth.

Why Should Believers Stay Away?

While Holi is seen as a festival of unity and celebration, it is rooted in practices that contradict biblical faith. As followers of CHRIST, we must be careful not to participate in activities that compromise our spiritual walk:

1. Idolatry and Pagan Practices – Holi is deeply tied to Hindu mythology and rituals. The Bible warns us, "Do not follow other gods, the gods of the peoples around you" (Deuteronomy 6:14). We are to worship GOD alone.

2. Worldly Indulgence – The festival often involves revelry, intoxication, and a lack of self-control, which goes against the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).

3. Spiritual Contamination – Many rituals performed during Holi are rooted in spiritual beliefs that oppose the Word of GOD. "What agreement is there between the temple of GOD and idols? For we are the temple of the living GOD" (2 Corinthians 6:16).

How Should Believers Live?
